    R.J., Dave, and their significant others travel to Chicago for a dinner meeting with Glitterati Productions about the May staged reading of Love's Sick.
  • 1/7/08
    The Love's Sick materials are mailed to the U.S. Copyright office, paving the way for the this website.
  • 12/21/07
    Michelle Thompson, David Sollish, Melissa Ceo, and MaryJoanna Grisso, cast members for West Virginia Public Theatre's Holiday production of Peter Pan (which R.J. music directed), read the roles of Julie, Jason, Margo, and Faith for a very small invited audience.
  • 11/19/07
    R.J. and Dave meet with John Nasca and decide to make one minor adjustment to the script. They set a date for a staged reading in Chicago in mid to late May 2008.
  • 11/18/07
    R.J. and Dave fly to Chicago to meet with John Nasca regarding Love's Sick and the new musical they're developing with John.
  • 11/11/07
    R.J. and Dave read through the finished script and make some final adjustments.
  • 10/12/07
    R.J. meets with John Nasca and delivers a copy of the then-current script.
  • 8/15/07
    R.J. completes the new opening number, Love's Sick, while vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
  • 8/2/07
    Cassie Chestnut, Ashley Williams, and Dionysia Williams, cast members for West Virginia Public Theatre's Summer 2007 season, meet with Dave, R.J., their friend Stephen Barr, and R.J.'s fiancée Elisha Lojewski to read through the first complete draft of the script. The reading and the subsequent discussion lead Dave and R.J. to restructure and overhaul the final third of the show.
  • Summer 2007
    Dave and R.J. use the material from the April workshops to develop the remainder of the script.
  • April 2007
    Denice Burbach, Veronda Carey, and J.W. Walton, graduate students in theatre at West Virginia University, and Emma Marioles, a music student at WVU, work with Dave and R.J. to develop the more "improvisational" parts of Love's Sick.
  • 2005 - 2006
    Dave and R.J. meet off and on to develop the concept and write the first section of the book. R.J. composes the first four songs, You're Never Good Enough, Habeas Corpus, I Love You/You're Different, and Always Almost.
  • 2004
    After finishing the performance of their revue Broadway Follies, David Scoville, R.J. Nestor, and Aubrey Young begin to conceive of a new show, originally entitled One Man Show. This concept eventually developed into Love's Sick.
